This image is a tribute to my admiration of space, silence and the sea, which is something I miss hugely since I moved from Sweden to Macclesfield in England.
Well you would miss the space, silence and sea being in Macclesfield, but why not venture to the English coast, not too far, the east coast being the nearest at a guess. Here you will find what you miss in Sweden, but I feel you miss Sweden, which I can understand if that is your place of birth. I still like the picture though 🙂
I have tried the west coast which is lovely but unfortunately not the same. I miss the wilderness that unfortunately not exist in England. But England have other things for example all the nice people 🙂
Nice!
I’ve been seeing your photos today and they are really inspiring, Petra.
Keep up the good work; I’ll keep an eye on your blog.
You are doing very well.
Just lovely. The dark tonality and gentle colour draw you in.
Regards, John.
Thanks a lot John 🙂
this is fantastic.
Cheers, I’m glad you like it 🙂

So mysterious and mesmerising. I like the depth.
Takes a good eye. Well done.
Thanks for your kind comment 🙂
Very meditative. I like it very much.
Thanks a lot for your comment. I have this as a large print and it is very meditative to look at maybe as watching the real sea but close enough 😉
Total presence. You can smell and feel the water. Great job.
Thanks your comment it’s about the same as I feel when watching the large print 🙂
Love this photo!
Stunning. I’ve always lived near an ocean or a bay or a lake. There’s nothing like the ocean.
Can’t agree with you more 🙂
I’m not sure you can much further from the sea than Macclesfield? Reminds me of work by Hiroshi Sugimoto, very nice.
Cheers only to be mention in the same sentence as Sugimoto is an honour, thank you 🙂
Wow, that is beautiful.
