Picture day 197 – Rainow

© Petra Stridfeldt

Went for a wonderful walk yesterday not far away from where I live. The village you see in the picture is Rainow which is a small village north-east of Macclesfield in Cheshire. This is a quite hilly area and you can get a fabulous view if you walk to the top.

Great photo of a great place. Brian Redhead lived there and considered the stretch of road from Rainow to Whaley Bridge one of the best in the world.

Thanks 🙂 It is a great road though I wouldn’t stretch it that far to say that this road from Rainow to Whaley Bridge is one of the best in the world 🙂
