Picture day 176 – Minus 28 degree Celsius

© Petra Stridfeldt

Another winter photograph, this time of the Dalälven (Dal river) in Sweden. When I photographed this one it was about minus 28 degree Celsius, and for you who has been out using a camera in such a cold weather you know that the battery life is much shorter. I tried to keep the camera inside my jacket to keep it warm but that made me cold instead… Also to handle a camera with gloves is not very easy but to be without gloves for just a short period makes you fingers hurt. However, it was a beautiful freezing day 🙂

I did not know that about the battery life! Maybe that is why mine never dies – I live in a warm (hot) area! Beautiful image!

Thanks for your comment and lucky you who live in a warm country I would prefer that though I actually like the winter too but not for very long periods.

I prefer the moderate temperatures of fall, but around here fall and spring last about a week each, then it’s on to summer or winter…
