Picture day 168 – A red little cottage

© Petra Stridfeldt

When traveling in Sweden and using a navigator that is set on shortest way and not to avoid gravel roads it will take you to some wonderful places. Just to be aware that the roads can be very narrow and you might have to drive through the forrest for quite a while and might start to think that you are lost, which is a great feeling at least for me who likes being lost when I go traveling.

These kind of red cottages made of wood are to be seen everywhere. Some of them are nowadays only used as summer houses and some are unoccupied, which I would think this one is. I absolutely adore these cottages and would love to buy one… might do actually,  when I’m done with travelling and ready to settle down :-).

Nice photo in our beautiful Swedish nature. It’s kind of funny, I posted this photo, http://incoherentphotos.wordpress.com/2012/10/13/the-little-red-floating-house/ yesterday. Do you see the resemblance in the typical Swedish house architecture. Even though my photo is of a miniature 🙂

I can certainly see a resemblance with your floating house and Swedish architecture 🙂

Very sweet. It’s always more fun to travel away from the main roads.
