Picture day 143 – Skeleton coast

© Petra Stridfeldt

This is shot in another remote area in Namibia. The skeleton coast is a place that makes you wonder how anything could survive. The ocean meets the desert and the weather condition is not really what you expect as there are dense fog and cold sea breezes. When I was camping there it was freezing cold during the night but still a place that takes your breath away. More info about the skeleton coast

Remarkable photo….and it sounds like it was taken during a remarkable experience. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Great image! Very haunting, and, as above, a memorable journey, by the sounds of it. 🙂

What a nice picture. It looks very mysterious out there. Are you travelling a lot? Because I see a lot of photos from diffrent places 🙂

Thank you. My answer if I travel a lot must be that I do not travel enough 😉

Wow first time I hear from it. Encounter and edge of two forces of nature

This looks so desolate I forget that you, the photographer, are there
