Picture day 120 – Somewhere in Cheshire

This is a place I would love to find again as I would like to photograph it again but with different light condition. I’ve tried to find my way back here several times without success so if anyone can tell me where it is, I will buy you a drink 🙂

Petra, assuming thats Manchester in the background, it could be the Monks Road above Glossop in Derbyshire? You sure you were in Cheshire?

Thanks I will have a look at Monks Road. When looking at Monks Road at google map I’m not sure that is the exact that road. I remembered the road was cul-de-sac. I will definitely have a look at it. It might be a road nearby. And I’m not sure that it was in Cheshire… could probably have been in Derbyshire too…

Monks road is not a cul de sac but has some spectacular views, worth a visit, no doubt. Good luck in the search.

Thanks I’ll take my motorcycle out for a ride and go to Monks road to see the view 🙂

It’s Webster, New York. I’ll take that drink now.

Haha sorry I’m pretty sure that it’s not New York 😉

This is really bugging me – it looks so familiar – I could have sworn it was somewhere along the road south from the Hanging Gate above Sutton and Langley but travelling along on Streetview I cannot match it. Thanks for posting the picture which stirred some memories – I am probably miles off course but I enjoyed looking at some old haunts.

Another beautiful photo. Wherever it is, it looks an attractive area to walk in. The only time that I have visited Cheshire was about 30 years ago when I spent a few days in the lovely town of Chester.

Thank you very much for your comment. Unfortunately I can’t remember where I photographed this one but I think it is in Peak District or at least not far from it. I have tried to find the spot again but without success. Nowadays I’m trying to write down the address when photographing a spot that I particular like. I remember clearly that I was out testing a camera at this point but that is about it.

Chester is a lovely city which I visited for about a year ago… time to visit again I think 🙂
