Picture day 81 – Ruin from the Russians in Estonia

© Petra Stridfeldt

When riding the motorbike off road on Estonia’s sea coast I saw this ruin that I believe is a remaining from when the Russians occupied the country. Paldiski was once the most heavily militarised Soviet base along the Estonian coast.

The black and white rendition really enhances the starkness of this building

Beautiful picture. The writing on the wall means ‘My House’ written in Estonian, but with Russian characters.
